New Business 10.1 2004-2005 School Committee Goals — As a follow-up to their <br /> summer "retreat", the School Committee voted to approve the following as <br /> their 2004-2005 goals: <br /> • to increase academic achievement <br /> 0 to improve the effectiveness of communication systems <br /> 0 to appropriately support technology for student learning as well <br /> as staff job performance <br /> 0 to foster positive school climate <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Lopez,to approve the above- <br /> named goals for the 2004-2005 school year <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> XI. Committee Reports 11.1 Sub-Committee Reports <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations—Mrs. Cook said the current Unit C grievance will not <br /> be going forward. <br /> 11.1.2 High School—A meeting will be established. <br /> 11.1.3 Elementary School — Mr. Thomas apologized for a <br /> miscommunication regarding the scheduling of the last meeting <br /> which he was unable to attend. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum MCAS — Mrs. Par lski said the first community <br /> advisory committee meetings have been held and reported on at <br /> previous meeting. <br /> The state-vide Adequate Yearly Progress AYP conference will be <br /> held in Marlboro on November I <br /> 11.2 External,Reports <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative—Mrs. Lopez said she was unable to attend <br /> this rating, however, a meeting will be held regarding advanced <br /> learning studies through the Collaborative. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services— Due to scheduling conflicts,this meeting will be <br /> rescheduled for the week of I ovember 1 t�'. <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force —Mr. Thomas said there have been <br /> no issues,therefore,no meetings have been scheduled. <br /> 11.2.4 Boosters Club — Mrs. Reis 'aid she was unable to attend the <br /> meeting. <br />
