i <br /> MA HPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 5, 2005 PAGE <br /> IX Specifically Assigned/ 9.1 Superintendent's Search Update—Mrs.Cook updated the Committee <br /> Unfinished Business regarding the Superintendent search stating there have been 20 inquiries thus <br /> far. She also stressed signing up for the three focus group meetings to be held <br /> on Tuesday, January 11th. Times are 12:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the <br /> high school. <br /> 9.2 Coombs School .Parkin Lot— School Facilities Supervisor Brad Fripp <br /> updated the Committee n a meeting held recently with the Department of <br /> Public works, Mrs. Par lski, Mr. Roche, and Mrs. Doyle along with two <br /> representatives from Vanasse Hangs Brustlin,Inc. (VHB)who are engineering <br /> the project. <br /> Mrs. Par lski introduced Officer Lisa Hettinger as the Mashpee Public School <br /> Resource Officer. Her official start date is January 10, 2005. <br /> 9.3 Residency Issue --- Pursuant to last month's Meeting regarding a <br /> residency issue for a high school student living outside of Mashpee while <br /> attending Mashpee Pugh School, Mrs. Par lski said the appropriate <br /> documentation has been received to have this student remain at Mashpee High <br /> School for the remainder of this school year. <br /> X1. Committee Reports 11.1 Sub-Committee R parts <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations—This was discussed in executive session. <br /> 11.1.2 High School—These issues were discussed earlier in the meeting. <br /> 11.1.3 ElementaKy School — Mr. Thomas said there has been no meting, <br /> however, one needs to be scheduled. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum/MCAS ' Mrs. Par lski reported the upcoming curriculum <br /> meeting dates are: Tech. E — January l Ith; English/Language Arts— <br /> January 19th. <br /> 11.2 External Reports <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative — Mrs. Lopez reported there is a partnership <br /> with Umass at Boston for a two-hour workshop at Sandwich High <br /> School to be held next week. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services —liths. Lopez said leisure services fee structures were <br /> discussed with Mrs. Cook and lir. Roche. A meting will be set with <br /> Mrs. Par l l i,Mrs. Cook, Mr. Roche and Mrs. Lopez. <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force — Mr. Thomas reported on a meeting <br /> held this evening. Any outstanding bus issues were resolved or will b <br /> with a bus route check with lir. Boleyn. <br />
