t <br /> Mashpee School Committee-REGULAR DIE TIN G-N ovember 2, 2005 Page 2 <br /> JA Finance Meeting— October 19, 2005 — Motion made by Mrs. Reis, seconded by <br /> Mrs. Grady, to approve the minutes of the finance meetingn October 19, 2005. <br /> VOTE: In favor—Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Reis, Mrs. Grady, and Mrs. Rornkey; abstained —Mr. <br /> Thomas <br /> ).5 Executive Session -- October 19, 2005 — Motion made by Mrs. Reis secondedby <br /> Mrs. Grady, to approve the minutes of the executive session deli on Octcher 19, 2005. <br /> VOTE: In favor—Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Reis, Mrs. Grady, and Mrs. Ror key; abstained—Mr. <br /> Thomas <br /> Iv. Public Forum <br /> The School Committee members thanked Carol Mitchell and Liz Hendricks for the new <br /> playground equipment and agreed that it was the responsibility of the school district to <br /> maintain the said equipment. <br /> V. Acknowledgements <br /> .1 Hurricane Katrina 5K — Mrs. Bradshaw stated that this is a wonderful night for <br /> I ashpee as there are a lot of great acknowledgements. Chelsea Mail ath, a student <br /> at Mashpee High, stated that they put on a Katrina 5K Race, October 22, 2005, <br /> which hopefully will become ars aruival event. This event raised over $300.00 <br /> which was donated to the American Red Cross. She thanked the Mashpee <br /> community members, high school staff, faculty, Mrs. Bradshaw, school council <br /> members and Mr. Hyde, for their efforts in making this race a success. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw mentioned that there was a letter in the packet thanking Mr. Hyde <br /> and the cross country team for making this event such a success. <br /> .2 Hurricane.Katrina Relief Efforts — Class Advisor's Letters — Mrs. Bradshaw <br /> acknowledged the Class of 2010 and the Class of 2011 who also raised funds for the <br /> Hurricane Katrina whose donation was forwarded to the American Red Cross in the <br /> amount of $622.00. Also letters of acknowledgements were sent to Mona Lisa <br /> Valentino, Class Advisor 2010 and Lon Dexter, Class advisor 2011 thanking then <br /> for their efforts on this behalf. <br /> Mr. Babbitt stated that this fundraiser was set up during lunch time at the high <br /> school and wished to thank all the students who donated to this relief fund. <br /> 5.3) Vicki vieira A Cappella Choir—Mrs. Bradshaw acknowledged Ms. vieira and the <br /> A Cappella Choir for singing at Town meeting and thanking them for their <br /> wonderful performance. <br />
