Mashpee School C o min Ittee-REGULAR MEEUNG-I ovember 2, 2005 Page 8.7 T' hnoof Proposal -- Sean Moro — Mrs. Bradshaw spoke about the tecl -iology issues, tecl iology support, upgrade, etc., at the various schools. The School Conunittee members asked Mrs. Bradshaw to come up with a proposal and the bind of funding necessary to update and upgrade the existing computer technology at the schools. Mr. Moroney highlighted his proposal to the school committee members and basically requested to specific items, one being funding for additional network support help and internet access at the high school. Motion made by Mr. Thorna , seconded by Mrs. Roinkey, to tale money out of the Revolving account for funding for additional network support help. VOTE: Unanimous 8.8 School Committee Workshops Mrs. Bradshaw brought up the idea of may be scheduling a couple of workshops for school committee members to get together, talk and share their ideas. Mrs. Bradshaw asked the members to think about this and cone back with their thoughts on these workshops. 8.9 High School PM_Prouarn Update --- Mr. Brown — This item was discussed previously. 8.10 High School School Improvement Plan-- Mr. Brown, Mrs. St. Cyr, Mr. Babbitt and Mr. Moore spore and highlighted each of the Mouse A, B and C Improvement Plans which was developed with input from the Mashpee High School faculty members and School Council members. Mr. Babbitt spoke on the House A Action Plan highlighting the four specific Goals: To conduct a district wide needs assessment for Middle school students, and develop a viable, long terra (3-5 years) strategical plan that addresses their learning needs. • To identify academic competencies and demonstrate student acquired shills by showcasing their work. • To create an effective (electronic) tool that identifies student behaviors and maintains statistical data.
