MASRPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE---REGULAR MEETfNG—DECEMBER 7, 2005 PAGE 5 <br /> X. New Business Mrs. Bradshaw said with Mrs. Reis retiring from the School Committee, an <br /> opening exists on the Committee. She said several residents have expressed an <br /> interest in serving on the Committee and they will discuss the candidates at <br /> rater time. <br /> Mrs. Mills announced the van Drivers/Monitors have a new contract that was <br /> approved this evening in executive session. Motion made by Mrs. Romkey, <br /> seconded by Mrs. Reis,to approve the vanDrivers/Monitors contract. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> X1. Committee Reports 11.1 Sub-Committee lens <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations — Mr. Thomas reported negotiations meetings are being <br /> held with [knit A (Teachers) and a schedule will be set with Unit C <br /> representatives. <br /> 11.1.2 High School—Mrs. Grady said there was no meeting, however, there is <br /> a Cancer Prevention for Youth survey that has been approved by the <br /> School Council. <br /> 1 1.1.3 ElementM — Mrs. Romkey met with Mrs. leis and Mr. lees. Focus <br /> was on the following: differentiating instruction and learning, possibly <br /> increasing volunteers, Craft Fair was held, Grade 516 concert; Coombs <br /> School fashion show was held at New Seabury Country Club; vendor <br /> Holiday shopping; and the Giving Tree wason-going. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum/MCAS—There was no report this evening. <br /> 1 l.1. Athletic Advisory Committee—There was no report this evening. <br /> 11.2 External Report <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative — Mrs. Grady said the next meeting will be <br /> next week. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services — Mr. Bradshaw reported on a subcommittee meeting <br /> held to discuss use of the high school auditorium by outside group. <br /> Their next meeting is slated for December 2 . i <br /> 11.2.3 Safe_ Transportation Task Force — Mr. Thomas said there was n <br /> meeting. <br /> 11.2.4 Boosters Club—Mr. Thomas said there will be a meeting on December <br /> at 7:00 p.m. in the high school. <br /> 11.2.5 Indian Education—Mrs. Mills said there has been no meeting. <br />
