<br /> VI. Student Advisory Mrs. Grady introduced Grade 12 student Rachel Thomas as the Student
<br /> Council Advisory Council's representative to the School Committee for the 2006-
<br /> 2007 school year. Miss Thomas reported on the following high school
<br /> events: Homecoming was last week (which was reported to be "the most
<br /> spirited week in a long time"), the Homecoming f tbali game (which
<br /> Mashpee won), the Homecoming Dance -- 340 tickets were sold; academics
<br /> are going well; Progress Reports are going out on October 1 'h; and SATs
<br /> are coming up.
<br /> VII. Acknowledgments 6.1 John and Abigail Adams Scholarships—Mrs. Grady announced that
<br /> 48 Mashpee students received this award who scored in the top 25% ofthe
<br /> district and "Advanced" or "Proficient" on their grade 10 MCAS exams.
<br /> This Award entitles recipients to attend any ofthe Massachusetts public
<br /> colleges or community colleges tuition-free. The following Mashp e

<br /> 2006 — Mrs. Grady read aloud a letter of appreciation for high school
<br /> teacher Dana Smith. It was written by Michelle Dunn who praised Mr.
<br /> Smith as "a very understanding and inspirational man."
<br /> VIII. Communications 7.1 Boys &Girls Club—"Lights On After School,"October 12, 2006—
<br /> The Bays and Girls Club announced their sixth annual after school program,
<br /> "Lights On After School" rally to be held on October 12, 2006 from 5:00-

<br /> 7.2 Internet Safe r—Mrs. Grady said there will be a meeting of Internet
<br /> safety with topics including predator behavior and social networking sites,
<br /> i.e., 1 ly pace.com held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. This
<br /> meeting will take place in the High School.
