1 � <br /> MAS PEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> FINANCE METING <br /> OCTOBER 1 , 2006 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairman MaryRose Grady, Becky Rornk y, Bill McNamara, and Janice Mills. Peter <br /> Thomas was unable to attend. Also in attendance were Superintendent ofSchools Ann Bradshaw and <br /> School Business Administrator Ira Brown. <br /> I. Call Meeting to Order—Mrs. Grady called the finance meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. in the <br /> Quashnet School Library. <br /> II, Business Administrator's Report— <br /> 2.1 FY07 Budget Update - Mr. Brown reported the following: 1 presently 30.7% of the <br /> FY07 budget has been expended with most line items showing a positive balance; 2 <br /> two construction projects are almost completed — the solar panels were mounted on the <br /> high school gymnasium's roof and the Coombs School bathrooms should be completed <br /> n October 17; 3 regarding Bus Radio, the installation of 1 I units was completed this <br /> week with the remaining 4 busses needing to meet the installation parameters which Bus <br /> Radio personnel will configure. <br /> 2.2 Status of Grants, Revolving Accounts and Lunch Program. — Mr. Brown said we are <br /> waiting to receive funding for the special education early childhood grant and the Indian <br /> Education numbers will be forthcoming. <br /> Revolving accounts — Mr. Brown reported there is a negativebalance in the "School <br /> Custodial"account due to awaiting reimbursement from Leisure Services. <br /> Lunch Program — Mr. Brown said there is a $5,500 decrease in September 2006 <br /> compared to September 2005 due to the recent newspaper article involving the kitchens <br /> and implementing the wellness Program choices. <br /> 2.3 FY07Budget Transfers—Mr. Brown presented the FY07 budget transfers (see Exhibit A. <br /> for School Committee approval: <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to approve FY07 budget <br /> transfer#07-13-1-1 in the amount of$14,952.00 <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to approve FY07 budget <br /> transfer 407-22-1-1 in the amount of $601,000.00 <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to approve FY07 budget <br /> transfer#07-29-1-1 in the amount of$3 3,267.94. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br />
