MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—FINANCE MELTING—OCTOBER 1 , 2006 PAGE 2 <br /> III. Update from Brad Tripp on Coombs School Bathrooms — Mr. Brown reported on the <br /> bathrooms earlier in the meeting. <br /> IV. Report from Budget Sub-committee—Mrs. Grady reported on a budget sub-committee meeting <br /> that was held on October 13'h. A proposed FY08 budget timeline was set which was as follows: <br /> November l - ICC School Council Improvement Plan and Budget <br /> Presentation to School Committee <br /> December 6 - Quashnet School and High School School Councils <br /> Improvement Plan and Budget Presentation t <br /> School Committee <br /> December ember 2 - Public Hearing at School Committee Meeting <br /> December ember 2 - Publish summary of proposed budget in local newspaper <br /> January 3 - School Committee vote on the budget <br /> January 4 - School Committee budget to Town Manager <br /> February 12 - Last day to submit articles for Town Meeting warrant <br /> May 7 - Town Meeting <br /> After much h discussion, it was decided that Mrs. Grady and Selectmen liaisons Mr. Don Myers <br /> and Mrs. Terrie Cook along with Finance C rr mittee member Chuck Gasior would meet t <br /> discuss budget issues. This meeting was slated for November 1 '" t 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> V. Energy Policy—Mrs. Romkey discussed Policy EBCF, "Energy Management Conservation."' <br /> Mrs. Grady stressed the need to beep the loot water on in the schools every if there is only one <br /> person there. Mr. Brown said the hot water at the Quashnet School will be monitored by Mr. <br /> Tripp and himself After questions have been resolved with Energy Education,this policy will be <br /> voted on at the November I"regular School Committee meeting. <br /> VI. Other—Mrs. Bradshaw asked to schedule the following meetings: <br /> Curriculum sub-committee for science and business—October 27'h at 1;00 p.m. <br /> i <br /> Budget sub-committee on October 25that 2:00 p.m. <br /> School Committee finance meeting n December 2 , 2006 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> VII. Executive Session — Motion made by Mrs. Romkey, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to move into <br /> executive session for the purpose of litigation, negotiations, and personnel at 7:20 p.m. <br /> Doll Call Vote: In favor—Mrs. Grady, Mrs. Romkey, Mr. McNamara, and Mrs. Mills; opposed <br /> —none. <br />
