5� 4 r i 1 ASHPEE SC1400L COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER , 2006 Minutes Attendees: Chairman Maryl ose Grady, Peter Thomas, Becky l oml ey, Bill McNamara, and Janice Mills. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Ann Bradshaw and Business Administrator Ira Brown. I. Call Meeting Mrs. Grady called the regular meeting to order at 630 p.m. in the Quashnet to order School Library. H. Executive Session Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to move into executive session at 631 p.m. for the purpose of litigation, negotiations and personnel. The regular meeting reconvened at :10 p.m. III. Approval of Minutes 3.1 Regular Meetin —August 23,2006—Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara,to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on August 2 , 2006 as amended. VOTE: Unanimous .2 Executive Session-August 23, 2006—Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. F om ey, to approve the minutes ofthe executive session held on August 2 , 2006. VOTE: Unanimous IV, Public Forum There was no public input this evening. V. Acknowledgments firs. Bradshaw introduced and welcomed the following two newly-hired employees: .1 Carla Thomas—Assistant Special Education Director—Ibis. Thomas gave a brief outline ofher past work experience. .2 Jane Day—Housemaster, Grades 11 and 12—Mrs. Day also gage a quick recap of her previous job experience. Mrs. Bradshaw introduced our new"Cape Cod Times"reporter Stephanie osk. VI. Communications There were no"communications"this evening. VII. Parent/Teacher Coombs School PTO President Liz Hendricks addressed the Committee Organization saying the first day of school went well with the bus traffic so far. Their goal this year is to raise $60,000 with the Fashion Show, sale of ink cartridges, Casino Night ht in March along more with t o e assemblies.
