-A MASFIPBB SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING—SEPTEMBER , 2006 PAGE Vill. Report of the Mrs. Bradshaw reported the school year got offthe a"fabulous start." Superintendent new math program will be implemented this year at the high school. The PTO and Boosters Club are getting their energy going, technology will b upgraded, the athletic program is up and running. The Energy Education program will help conserve energy and save costs. New staff is in place,the busses "ran wonderfully," there has not been much reaction to Bus Radio yet but will continue to monitor in the busses as the year continues. 8.1.1 Create New Position — Administrator of Special Education Jane Beaudin requested a .4 Certified led _Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the special education department. This would be a two-day-a-week position mostly in preschool. Salary would be approximately $8,000 from the special education grant. Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Thomas,to approve the creation of a .4 COTA position. VOTE: Unanimous Mrs. Bradshaw updated the Committee on the following personnel issues: Coombs School.
