Carol Mitchell Liaison Appointment to Leisure Services Advisory Council—Motion made by <br /> Mr. McNamara, seconded by Mrs. Romkey, to approve Carol Mitchell as the parent liaison to the <br /> Leisure Services Advisory Council for the School Committee, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> IV, Update from Brad Tripp on Coombs School Bathrooms — In Mr. Tripp's temporary absence, <br /> Mr. Brown updated the Committee stating thathe visited the Coombs bathrooms last week. The <br /> primer was being applied today with a finish coat tomorrow. Upon Mr. Tripp's arrival to the <br /> meeting, he added the permits were delayed until July 20 which pushed the project back several <br /> days. He felt the bathrooms will be ready for usage in early-to raid-October. <br /> V. Deport from Budget Sub-committee <br /> .1 New Positions — Mrs. Bradshaw reported the budget sub-committee met on September <br /> 14, 2006 where three new positions were discussed and recommended. They were: <br /> 5.1.1 1-1 Paraprofessional -- Coombs School — a 1-1 paraprofessional as soon as <br /> possible for a Coombs School student and would be funded through the special <br /> education grant; <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Romkey, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to approve hiring <br /> 1-1 paraprofessional at Coombs School. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 5,1.2 I -hour Food Service Cleaner - a 1 -hour weekly cleaning position for the three <br /> kitchens (vents, fans in the kitchens; not food preparation areas). This position <br /> would be funded through the food services account. <br /> Motion made by Mr. McNamara, seconded by Mrs. l oml ey, to approve hiring a <br /> 1 -hour weekly food service cleaning position. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 5.1.3 .2 Medicaid Reimbursement Clerk - a .2 Medicaid reimbursement clerk. As <br /> discussed at the September 6hmeeting, the Cape Cod Collaborative currently <br /> does the work for this position. They are paid $18,000. In an effort to save <br /> approximately $x,000 (after start-up costs) for the first year and approximately <br /> $11,000 for subsequent years, it was recommended to hire an in-house person to <br /> work in this 7-hour per week position. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Romkey, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to approve hiring <br /> an in-house person to fill the .2 Medicaid reimbursement clerk positron. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> VI. Other- <br /> 6.1 ----lemon er �r... School Committee Workshop with Glenn KhQS Library, <br /> 3:30- 1 —Mrs. Bradshaw mentioned the School Committee workshop that will be held prior to <br /> the October 4 1h regular meeting commencing meneing at 3:30 p.m. in the Quashnct School Library. <br />
