iASHPBB S CHOOL COMMITTEE-FINANCE MEETING-NOVEMBER 1 , 2006 PAGE <br /> V. Capital Improvement Program FY 2005 — Discussion followed on the prioritization of the <br /> FY08 CIP projects. They were in order of priority: 1 System-wide security, Phase II and <br /> Quashnet School door replacement; 2 Technology infrastructure, Phase III; 3 Coombs School <br /> and Quashnet School flooring, Phase II; Quashnet School HVAC, Phase II. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Romkey, seconded by Mr. Thomas, to approve the above-listed CIP <br /> projects by priority. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> VI, Other— <br /> 1. Directions to Cape Cod Tech for Thanksgiving Day Football Game, 10:00 a.m., November <br /> 2 , 2006. These were included in the packet. <br /> . Mrs. Bradshaw included a parent letter regarding the recent Quashnet School threat. In it, <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw explains what steps have been followed for this incident and answers <br /> pertinent questions. <br /> Quashnet School Principal Jeff Dees addressed the Committee and stated that although Mrs. <br /> Bradshaw has been the brunt of the public criticism and blame, he takes full responsibility for <br /> the manner in which the incident was handled. <br /> Mrs. Grady said that although some School Committee members rs spore in support of the <br /> action taken by Mrs. Bradshaw and Mr. Dees regarding the Quashnet School threat incident, <br /> she has not publicly supported them at this point and the School Committee has not taken any <br /> uniform stance regarding this incident. She said an investigation is,underway presently and <br /> she would be remiss for the School Committee to either support or condemn anyone in this <br /> incident until the investigation is complete and an informed decision can be made once all <br /> facts have been reviewed. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw noted the Blue Falcon Theatre's performance of "Harvey" during the <br /> upcoming weekend. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw also noted sub-committee meeting dates as follows- <br /> Po I icy <br /> ollows:Policy—November 21, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. and December 6, 2006 <br /> Budget—November 29, 2006 or December 7, 2006 to be determined) <br /> Menu Advisory—date to be established <br /> Safety and Security Task Force—November 2 , 2006, 7:00 p.m,, for Quashnet School <br /> parents in either the Quashnet cafetorium or library to be determined) . <br /> Mr. Thomas questioned the status of the FY08 budget figure for planning purposes. firs. <br /> Grady said responded that number will be prepared by December 8h. <br />
