t <br /> M.A I- PEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 6, 2006 <br /> i lints <br /> Attendees: Chairman MaryRose Grady, Becky l ornkey, Bill McNamara, and Janice Mills. Peter Thomas <br /> was absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Ann Bradshaw and School <br /> Business Administrator Ira Brown. <br /> I. Call Meeting Mrs. Grady called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School <br /> to Order L i b racy. <br /> The members of Mrs. Karen Tessicini's Grade 1 Leaders' Theatre class read <br /> aloud to the School Committee. Student readers were Kevin Pult , Michael <br /> Dugan, Mikayla Florindo, Brooke Bridges, Frederick Hanna, Molly Regan, <br /> Autumn Anderson, Luis Santiago, Megan Ahearn, Sarah Foley, and <br /> McKenzie M ni . <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara, to more into <br /> executive session at 6:40 p.m. for the purpose of litigation, personnel, and <br /> negotiations, <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor— Mrs. Grady, Mrs. Romkey, Mr. McNamara, and <br /> Mrs. Mills; opposed—none. <br /> The regular meeting reconvened at 7:14 p.m. <br /> Due to many audience members who were scheduled to address the <br /> Committee, Mrs. Grady moved up the following items: <br /> V1. Student Advisory Student Advisory Council representative Rachel Th rnas updated the <br /> Council Committee on the following high school activities: The Donor Doll <br /> Breakfast was held this morning for grades 9-12; grades 7-8 Ice Creamy <br /> Social was recently held; the College Financial Air workshop will he held <br /> on December 7 t" at :00 p.m.; Progress Reports will be out on December 1 I; <br /> the Fall Sports Awards were held on December 5 1"; Winter Sports are <br /> ongoing; the Talent Show auditions are currently taking place; the hockey <br /> team were recipients of new uniforms; the Mashpee Falcons football team <br /> won the 'thanksgiving .day game against Cape Cod Tech; the National <br /> Honor Society Blood Drive e will be held on December7th; the annual <br /> Christmas tree sales are being held at True Value daily from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 <br /> p.m. and at the l ashpee Commons on Fridays from 3-00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., <br /> and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.. <br /> . Birdhouse Presentation Cynthia Prapa ' Students —Three students <br /> from Mrs. Pra as class addressed the Committee regarding bird houses they <br /> made and are selling. These students were Steve Pennini, Adam Parker, and <br /> Genesa Gonzalez. <br /> r <br />
