She then introduced <br /> speakers to address the six priority areas of the Strategic Plan. <br /> • <br /> Develop sr and respec(ful learning environments. <br /> Steve Babbitt Lindsay Ilett, and Rewa Melby discussed Positive <br /> Behavior Intervention & Support) gave overview on their progress on <br /> data collection, focus areas,training, and the next steps. <br /> Ellen Bankston, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, <br /> addressed the Committee regarding the adult student mentor program. <br /> This is a piece of the Safe & Supportive Environment Grant as well. <br /> • Develop means for the schools to„serve the commuit . <br /> Due to time constraints for students, Mrs. DeBoer asked to have the <br /> Quashnet School K-Kids address the Committee. <br /> Zachry Surrtt , Emily Hannan, and Brittany Haworth each read <br /> aloud a piece regarding the "No Name Calling week” and "N <br /> I issing Week"held at the Quashnet School last week. <br /> • Develop an or' ani ed, systematic set of interventions. <br /> Patty Ir reported on the pyramid of interventions which is <br /> designed to organize and systemize responses for students who are not <br /> learning. <br /> • Provide effective educational. leqdership, provide pro essional <br /> development for administrators and teachers provide time Lor <br /> educator*collaboration. <br /> Coombs School Principal Mrs. Doyle and teacher Suzanne Cogswell <br /> talked about how they are working as professional learning <br /> communities as well as the focused approach to educator learning. <br /> • Practice- scaKaci r c . <br /> School Facilities Supervisor/Energy Education Manager Brad Fripp <br /> updated the Committee n the energy savings program. <br /> Ex <br /> plore alternate engigy sources, <br /> Mashpee High School teacher Chris Perkins outlined an investigation <br /> n the usage of wind turbines to generate electricity. <br /> X. Specifically Assigned/ 10.1 Town Annual Deport—Under the "Awards" section of the school <br /> Unfinished Business department's Annual Town Report submission, a couple of areas need to b <br /> added to the report. The Superintendent's office will gather the information <br /> and then forward the report to the Selectmen's office. <br />
