I .. MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING APRIL 4, 2007 Minutes Attendees: Chairman 11 aryRose Grady, Peter Thomas, Bill McNamara, and Janice Mills. Becky Romkey was absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent ofSchools Aran Bradshaw and School Business Administrator Ira Brown. J. Call Meeting Mrs. Grady called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet to order School Library. 11. Executive Session Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. McNamara,to move into executive session at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of litigation and negotiations. Roll Call Vote: In favor— Mrs. Grady, Mr. Thomas, Mr. McNamara, and Mrs. Mills; opposed—none. 111. Approval ofMinutes 3.1 Regular Meeting—January 3., 2007—Moti on made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on January 3, 2007 as amended. VOTE; Unanimous .2 Finance Meeting — January 17, 2007 — Motion Ornade by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the minutes of the finance meeting held on January 1 ,2007. VOTE: Unanimous IV. Public Forum Trina Frye questioned why were students who attended the Celtics game the evening prior to the MCAS tests were singled out for attending. She said she addressed this issue with Mrs. DeBoer. Richard Martini, Youth Basketball Advisor, responded stating the Celtics game tickets are purchased in September and was unaware of the MCAS test schedule at that time. He will avoid this conflict in the future. Mrs. Bradshaw will discuss with Mrs. DeBoer this situation for next year. L. V. Acknowledgments 5.1 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony, March 26, 2007— Mrs. Bradshaw acknowledged the induction ceremony held on March 2 . She commended the participants and congratulated all who hold this honor. .2 NARY Re-accreditation Memo from Louise Doyle and ,ley Smith --Mrs. Doyle and Ms. Smith thanked all who supported the effort. 5.3 Letter to Mashpee Police officer from Michael Horne dated March , 2007 — Mr. Horne thanked the officers for the $500 they donated which will be spent to benefit the ice hockey team to replace work equipment.
