Lacey Shmit IHS junior) <br /> perform an impressive concert. Miss vi ira commended Kris Mill for her <br /> efforts in preparing for this conference. <br /> . "Kiwanls Kids" memo from Jeff Dees dated March-28, 2007 — Mr. <br /> Is acknowledged the efforts of these student volunteer from the Quashnet <br /> School and their advisor Jane Emery. The students raised $725.20. <br /> 5.6 Habitat for Hur snit r Thank — Sue I aggatt from Habitat for <br /> Humanity thanked students for a local fundraising effort that will benefit the <br /> Youth United Build program. <br /> vI. Communications There were no "communications"this evening. <br /> vII. Student Advisory Student Advisory Council representative Rachel Thomas discussed the <br /> Council "happenings" at the high school. She reported on the following: the FLA. <br /> student traveled to New York and returned last week. They had a wonderful <br /> time and among the things they did was to visit `Top of the Rock," the 2 'h <br /> Annual Putnam City Spelling Bee; the IAC Travelers returned from their trip <br /> and all had a terrific time; the ski trip was a success; the FBLA will b <br /> selling pull tables for the Ronald McDonald House; Senior Exhibition Dight <br /> is set for April 10'h from 6-8 p.m.; the terra closes on April 61h with Deport <br /> Cards out on April 23rd; the boys' baseball team did well and the Mr. <br /> "M shp e High School" competition will take place on April 12'' at 7:00 <br /> P.M. <br /> VIII. Parent/Teacher Mrs. Bradshaw reported on the "fabulous Monte Carlo Dight" recently held. <br /> Organization She commended the tremendous effort made by ail participants and every <br /> detail was so well thought out. "It was a great community effort," <br /> IX, Special Education Peter Cohen reported on a meeting held last week that was "tremendously <br /> Parent Advisory well-attended."' Included in his report, Mr. Cohen stated the following: a <br /> Council SEPAL speaker from the Federation of Children with Special Deeds spoke to the <br /> attendees; continuing to work with the school department on developing an <br /> organizational chart; thank to the PTO for allow the SEPAL to participate <br /> in Monte Carlo night; they are working on the "SEPAL Person-of-the Year"' <br /> award; a slate ofofficers will be forthcoming; a survey has been distributed <br /> to special reeds parents asking for goals, strengths, weaknesses;sses; ll rs. <br /> Bradshaw has been invited to spear at the next SEPAL meeting regarding <br /> budgetary issues; special education was the focus of the last meeting. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw suggested anyone interested in SEPAL issues could visit <br /> their web site ww _.mai p sepae.org. <br />
