MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE-REGULAR M TfNT-APRIL , 2007 PATE <br /> 14.1.4 Curriculum MCAS — Mrs. Mills said she and Mrs. Romkey met <br /> with Mrs. Bankston regarding revisiting the curriculum five-year <br /> review policy . Although this year's review got ofd'to a late start, <br /> next year these discussions will begin earlier in the school year. <br /> 14.1.5 Athletic Advisory mmitt e — Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Mills met <br /> with Athletic Director Michael Horne and discussed the captains of <br /> sports teams. He said the current policy is "very generic." <br /> 14.2 External Reports <br /> l 4.2.1 Cape Col Collaborative — Mrs. Grady reported on a meeting she <br /> attended on March 14'h. Topics included: 1 Barnstable exploring a <br /> regional p.m. program; opening five classrooms in Stony Brook <br /> Elementary School in Brewster for 6-9 year old students; $1,500 <br /> from the Collaborative for maintenanee towards building; summer <br /> autism program; fuel rebate for January; transportation costs will he <br /> the same next year to districts. <br /> 14.2.2 Leisure Services—There was no report this evening. <br /> 14.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force —Mr. McNamara said there was no <br /> meeting. <br /> 14.2.4 booster Club—Mr. Thomas reported a success tournament this past <br /> weekend. <br /> 14.2.5 Indian Education—Mrs. Mills said there is no report. <br /> 1,4.2.6 Health Advisory ..Committee -- Mrs. Grady reported that this <br /> committee met on March 21" and discussed the following: K1 pill <br /> distribution policy; hand washing initiative by Health Inspection <br /> Glen Harrington; Youth Risk Behavior Survey results are in but will <br /> be reported on at the next meeting on May 2 d; student health <br /> screening; wellness, <br /> 14.2.7 Menu Advisory Committee — Mrs. Mills said there has been no <br /> recent meeting. � <br /> i <br /> 14.2.8 Safety Committee—Ido report this evening. <br /> XV. Other Mrs. Bradshaw brought up the following issues: <br /> 1 the March 9th Professional Day agenda was included in the packet; 2 <br /> Mashp a High School athletics newsletter; spring sports schedule; Falcon <br /> Bucks which is a positive behaviour program that rewards students who do <br /> positive things; April 24 1h Family Fun Dight event; Mrs. Bradshaw informed <br /> the Committee that she has posted a performance evaluation on the web site <br /> and invited all to complete it and tura it in. It can be done anonymously. <br />
