This <br /> increase would be competitive with other local jobs. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to <br /> increase this pay rate to $12 up to $5,000 from the School <br /> Rental account. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> 4 Summer Class.eorn Rate of Pay: <br /> The budget sub-committee recommended an increase from <br /> $25 per hour to $30 per hour in order to align the Summer <br /> Class.com teachers to other summer teaching program. To <br /> offset this increase, tuition will increase from $185 to $190 <br /> for Mashpee residents and from $205 to $210 for non- <br /> Mashpee residents. <br /> Mr. Thomas made a motion, seconded by Mr. McNamara, <br /> to approve the 5 per increase. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> i <br /> 5 Flex Schedule for Central Office: <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw informed the Committee the <br /> Superintendent's office staff' would life to continue their <br /> summer flex schedule during July and August 2007. <br /> The Committee had no problem with the summer schedule. <br /> 6 Lead Custodians: <br /> For the purpose of discussion, Mrs. Trills made a motion to <br /> approve the following sub-committee recommendation. <br /> Her motion was seconded by lir. McNamara. <br /> 11r. Tripp requested the creation of stipends to appoint one <br /> lead custodian in each building. Mr. Robert Costa's <br /> upcoming retirement leaves a gap in supervision which <br /> would be filled by lead custodians. The budget sub- <br /> committee recommended that the School Committee vote to <br /> approve lead custodian positions for a total cost of$12,000 <br /> to be distributed based on building size. Funding would <br /> come from Mr. Costa's salary. <br /> After much discussion, a vote was taken. VOTE: In favor, <br /> none; opposed—unanimous. The motion was defeated, <br /> Mr. Thomas suggested the above issue be discussed during <br /> custodial negotiations. <br />
