VIII. Parent/Teacher <br /> Organization Elizabeth Hendricks spoke about the PTO Monte Carlo night. This <br /> event was a success, raising approximately $135000.00. <br /> Kenneth C. Coombs PTO elections are coming up. The nominations <br /> are Todd Franks for President, Stacy Cooper for Vice President, Elaine <br /> Sweeney for Treasurer, Army Snider for Correspondence Secretary, and <br /> the nomination for the position of secretary is currently open. Mrs. <br /> Hendricks reminded everyone that the PTO Staff Appreciation will be <br /> next week. <br /> Mrs. Stanley was unable to attend this evening's meeting. <br /> Ix. Special Education Parent <br /> .Advisory Council Mrs. Patricia Antonellis spoke about the Special Education Parent <br /> Advisory Council {SEPAL . The organization has 40- parents <br /> involved so fay-. To raise money they held a 50150. raffle during the <br /> PTO Monte Carlo night and the PTO has also donated.$500.00. There <br /> is an upcoming training in Hyannis on how to run a Parent A&isory <br /> Council. The organization has developed a web site and they would <br /> like to connect with the town, website at some point. The SEPA <br /> meets on the last Thursday of every night at the Quashnet School <br /> library. SEPAL will also be selecting a Person ofthe Year that has <br /> made a difference in the life of a Special Education child. They have <br /> received$500.00 in donations that will go to the person selected. <br /> Mrs. Anton llis explained that the members of the SEPAL aro as <br /> follows: <br /> ■ Heidi F'azzino-President <br /> ■ Jeanette Campbell-Vice President <br /> ■ Jennifer Rivera-Treasurer <br /> ■ Kim Baler-Secretary <br /> ■ <br /> Mashpee High School Liaison-Wendy Ponnini <br /> ■ uashnet School Liaison-Peter Cohen <br /> ■ Kenneth C. Coombs Liaison-Jennifer Rivera <br /> Mrs. Antonellis also explained that a Special Education Survey was <br /> sent out to 435 parents/guardians of Special Education students. firs. <br /> ntonellis highlighted some of the results of the survey. There was <br /> some discussion regarding summer programs being offered to Special <br /> Education students for this-year. Mrs. Grady thanked Mr . Antonellis <br /> and the entire SEPAL committee for all their work. <br /> X. Report of the 10.1 Personnel-Mrs. Bradshaw informed the Committee of the following <br /> Superintendent personnel issues- <br /> Resignation <br /> ssues:Desi nation <br /> Jesse Paxton-Food Service Cleaner <br /> Kristen Chapman-MHS Paraprofessional <br /> Summer Buxton-MHS Paraprofessional <br /> Leave of Absence <br /> Nancy Gifford has requested a Leave ofAbsence for personal reasons. Mrs. <br /> Mills made a motion to grant a leave ofabsence for Fancy Gifford for the 7- <br /> 08 school year. Mrs. Rornkey seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .10.2 Administrative Reports- Mrs. Bradshaw notified the Committee that the <br /> uashnet attendance was inadvertently omitted and was 96%.
