Bailey. <br /> There was discussion about when the new policy would be in <br /> effect. Mrs. Grady stated it was whatever the student signed at the <br /> time. This policy could not be retroactive. There was discussion <br /> regarding this. Mrs. Grady said students could be given an option <br /> to adhere to old policy or adhere to the new policy. <br /> There was discussion about the policy for captains. Mrs. Trills <br /> stated she did not recall voting on the captain's policy previously. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw informed her that this was included in the 4/5/06 <br /> school committee packet. <br /> Mrs. Romkey made a motion, seconded by Mr. I areelli that the <br /> length of penalties for Captains is 365 days from the date of <br /> offense. <br /> VOTE: 1n favor- Mrs. Grady, Mr. Mar elli, Mrs. Romkey, Mr. <br /> Bailey; opposed- Mrs. Mills. <br /> Mr. Mar elli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to strife the <br /> language requiring students to go to Gosnold. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Thea was discussion about students participating in extra <br /> curricular activities. <br /> Mr. Mareelli made a notion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to accept that <br /> all students participating in extra curricular activities must be in <br /> school all day unless documentation is approved by the <br /> administration. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mr. Marcelli asked if near beer was a problem. There was <br /> discussion that it needs to be in the athletic policy, as well as the <br /> regular student handbook. <br /> Mr. Mareelli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey, to add the <br /> words that this policy includes products such as N/A or near beer. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Mills made a motioned, seconded by Mrs. Grady to include <br /> all these changes into the handbook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> School Committee Regular feting July 18, 2007 3 <br />
