Mrs. St. Cyr <br /> stated that Mr. Tripp is working with the vendors on the problem. <br /> Mrs. Grady inquired about the shetrock damage at the high school. Mrs. St. Cyr <br /> informed her it was various, school-wide repairs. <br /> i Mrs. Grady also inquired about the repairs to the 1997 dump truck. She requested <br /> an itemized report from Mr. Tripp for the next finance meeting. <br /> 9.3 Enrollments <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the following enrollments as of March 1, Zoo : Coombs <br /> School 47 1, Quashnet School 540, High School 917. <br /> 9.4 out of School Suspension <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the suspension reports. <br /> 9.5 Monthly Calendar <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the monthly calendar for March. <br /> XI. Strategic Plan Progress <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw gave a PowerPoint presentation on Strategic Plan progress. She <br /> explained that the Strategic Plan is a living document developed by staff, parents, <br /> and community members and is used to gain excellence. She stated that the <br /> measure of our success involves: <br /> • Gains in INCAS scores <br /> * Advanced placement at the high school <br /> • Curriculum <br /> Reaching the community <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw explained that strong progress has been made in the following <br /> areas: <br /> • Highly qualified teachers <br /> • Using assessment to improve learning <br /> • Providing enrichment to students <br /> Ellen Bankston spoke about professional development. She explained that <br /> professional development must be sustained, long-term, collaborative, and data <br /> driven. She discussed the professional learning community. Ms. Bankston <br /> explained that some things being done to improve MCAS are: <br /> 0 Math coaches <br /> * MCAS test question practice <br /> a Grade 7&8 math lab project <br /> • Graduate math course <br /> Regular School Committee Meeting of o <br />
