MASUPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTE <br /> JANUARY 2, 1996 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7 :10PM <br /> Finance Comm,�ttee members present: Marcia King, Chairman; Sid <br /> Golub; Dan Goggin Juan Bacigalupi and Alec Watt, Tony Gallo was <br /> unable to attend. <br /> .ease note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minuted only. once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused,, <br /> Dan Goggin Motioned to accept the Minutes of November 28, ' 1995 as <br /> written. Alec 'Watt seconded the Motion and members approved -o. <br /> Dan Goggin Motioned to approve the Minutes of December 12 , 1995. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi seconded the Motion. Mr. Golub noted that there <br /> needed to be a, change made to page 2, paragraph 2 . With the change <br /> noted, the Committee ap.proved the Minutes 4- , Mr. Watt abstaining. <br /> Correspondence <br /> There was a letter of interest from Nancy Jo Goulart for the <br /> Finance C mmitteels vacant seat. Ms. King mentioned that the <br /> Committee had already voted Mike K min to the vacant seat, but <br /> would ask Ms. Guiart if she would be be interested in the CIP <br /> position. <br /> Ms. King also mentioned that Mike Pietrowski would be attending the <br /> next scheduled meeting to discuss his proposal to videotape the two <br /> Town Meetings,, <br /> There was a letter from Kopelm n and Paige relating to the letter <br /> Mr. Watt had sent, on behalf of the Finance Committee, requesting <br /> an opinion regarding the Assistant to the Executive Secretary, <br /> Ms. King received Agreements between the Town of Mashpee and the <br /> Assistant to the Executive secretary and Fire Chief, George W. <br /> Baker, Jr. Copies are to be rade for the Committee's review. <br /> There was correspondence from James Vaccaro, Board of selectmen's <br /> cif ice, notifying the Committee that they were in favor of whatever <br /> the Finance Committee decided regarding Marsh v. Finance Committee, <br /> The committee received the Tax Date Recapitulation, Mr�. Bacigalu i <br /> mentioned that the majority of the Town had in ceased taxes, while <br /> certain areas had decreases. The Committee asked that a letter be <br /> sent to David Bailey, office of the Assessors, asking that he <br /> provide a breakdown by percentage of areas that had increased or <br /> decreased twee. A Response was requested for the meeting of <br /> January 23rd. Ms. King also noted that she would invite Diane <br /> ommel reyer to attend the next meeting to better inform the newer <br /> members about the tax rate. Ms. King stated that the tax rate <br />
