Page <br /> Correspondence <br /> There was a letter from Greg Taylor, DPW Director, requesting the <br /> authorization to deficit spend the Snow and Ice Account for FY9 . <br /> Ms. King explained that in every ether town it has to be doth the <br /> Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee to approve deficit <br /> spending. Ms. King would contact Ir. Whritenour. <br /> There was also a letter from the Town Clerk to the Finance <br /> Committee explaining that there would he no disruptions to any <br /> classrooms at the Middle School for the up and coming l e ct i cans in <br /> March and May. American Tent would he supplying the tables and <br /> chairs at a cost of $120 per election. <br /> Finance Committee Budget <br /> Ms, King provided a copy of the Finance Committee's budget request <br /> for FY9 . The Committee is requesting $8,000 ] roles down as <br /> follows: $300 AFTC lines; $150 ATFL October meeting; $1,200 MMA <br /> January Conference; $6,400 Mailings. Mr. Bacigalupi suggested <br /> forming a sub committee to develop a Town Report for each Town <br /> Meeting and publication, The Committee asked that a letter be <br /> written to the Board of Selectmen inciting them to help in <br /> preparing a report of the Finance Committee's doings and <br /> recommendations. According to Chapter 5. Article 1, Section -9 of � <br /> the By Laws, this is the responsibility of the Finance Committee, <br /> Ms. King mentioned that the Finance Committee had overspent their <br /> $11,000 Expense Account, The Account was overspent due to a second <br /> member of the Finance Committee attending the MMA conference in <br /> January, However, this member dial win 10 hours of free legal i <br /> advice from Kopelmn and Paige and would be willing to exchange <br /> this for his personal reimbursement. The Committee also thought <br /> that this may need to be a special town meeting article. The <br /> Committee did not want to use the Reserve Fund for this purpose, <br /> Ms., King would speak with the Executive Secretary and get his <br /> thoughts, <br /> Annual Town Report <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi Felt that the Town should also be involved with <br /> punting together a Town Report. There is a committee for this, <br /> Mr, Bacigalupi suggested the Finance Committee be involved, Ms, <br /> King stated that she would contact Joyce Mason regarding this <br /> report. It is due February 12th. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi suggested waiting for the review of the whale budget <br /> before o ma.tt i ng themselves to an amount to be taken from <br /> Stabilization for stabilizing of the tax rate, Mr, Coggin agreed, <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that there was a lot of excess money in the <br /> Overlay Account* Ms. King felt that the Committee tentatively <br /> agreed to move money from Stabilization to stabilize the tax mate. <br /> Mr. Goggin and lair.
