Goggin noted that four additio l firemen were added <br /> July Ist, Chief Baker stated that the department was having a hard <br /> time getting them into the Fire Academy. They are awaiting- slots. <br /> Chief Baker did provide data for the past few summers-, which showed <br /> significant increase. in July and August. He also mentioned tha <br /> the nursing home i open again which requires many ambulance- runs' <br /> Chief Baker explained that this increase is for overtime money for <br /> current staff. Mr. Golub mentioned that it has been his <br /> recommendation to budget only realistic costs and not provide <br /> buffer accounts, but come to the Reserve Fund if a situation <br /> arises. Chief Baer stated that it is one budget option to <br /> providing sufficient coverage in the busier months. <br /> The Committee reviewod them expenses and asked about a personal <br /> computer that it is included in the budget. Chief Baer also. <br /> mentioned that ambulance receipts are used to offset medical <br /> supplies. Ms. King asked ed about certain othek accounts which had <br /> money .requested but only has. spent much less to date. Ms, King <br /> asked what the Fire Department turned back to the Town. Mr, <br /> Aamblin answered $13 ,973 was given back to the Town. <br /> The Committee asked that Deputy Chief Hamblin update the figures <br /> discussed in the budget and provide a new revised copy to the <br /> Committee. The Committee would then rale a decision. and inform the <br /> Chief, The Committee all agreed that the budget was very well put <br /> together. <br /> Co res o d nce <br /> 1s.
