It is very important that the Chief and the Deputy <br /> Chief both know what the other is doing. <br /> Other Business <br /> Ms. King Mentioned that the Finance Committee needs to have their <br /> budget recommendations in by March 19th. There is approximately <br /> three meetings left to finish up meeting with department heads. <br /> The Committee agreed that they- would like to invite the <br /> Conservation Agent, Building Inspector, Executive secretary to <br /> their next meeting. The Leisure service Director and the Capital <br /> Improvement nt Committee wound be invited to. attend the March 12th <br /> meeting. Ms. King said that on March 19th the Committee would need <br /> to vote on Police, Fire and the Schools. The Committee again <br /> addressed the idea of using stabilization to fund the school's <br /> first time costs'. Mr. Golub stated that he wound be willing to <br /> think about utilizing $400,000. He also said that the Finance <br /> Committee should first get their analysis of one time costs and a <br /> comparison of like items, He suggested asking for -6th analysis, <br /> 7th to 8th analysis and 9th grade analysis in detail . <br /> Capital Improvement Committee <br /> Mr.. Golub stated that the Committee had meet that day and are <br /> recommending $565,000 for FY97, He explained that $540,,000- is <br /> coming out of the money available from the Middle School Account,, <br /> The Executive secretary also recommended taking $140,000 out of <br /> revenues and placing in Capital Improvement, Mr. Golub asked that <br /> the Capital Improvement Committee first list only priority .Mems <br /> which meet the Long Range Plan and then secondly have a wish list. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi mentioned that the CIP Report is part of the Finance <br /> Committee report. Mr-. Goggin suggested that Finance Committee � <br /> write a rebuttal to that. Ms. King said that they would spew to <br /> the Executive secretary when they mot with him at their next <br /> meeting <br /> Finance -Committee Report <br /> The Committee mittee spo] a about printing their report in the Pen y aver. <br /> Ms, King mentioned that tho Executive Secretary has only funded the <br /> Finance Committee with $1,000 for expenses, They would -talk about , <br /> it at the next meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at I : o M, The next meeting is scheduled <br /> for Tuesday, March 5th at ' :OO M, Minutes respectfully submitted <br /> by Jean M.
