Mr. Clair would also be open to the <br /> CIP appointment. <br /> 7:55PM - Nancy Jo Goulart was also present to express her interest <br /> in the vacancy. Lilo the others, she was very interested in being <br /> part of the Community and ]peeping watch on the tax rate. It was <br /> her belief that a good school system can rake a Town. A good <br /> school in a Corr nity is very beneficial and the Town will get it <br /> back in the long run. When asked what she could bring to the <br /> Committee, she responded that she is an accountant and very <br /> interested in the citizens here in 'down. Mr, Kumin asked her <br /> thoughts about the 'down t s growth and whether she would encourage <br /> business rather than residences? Her response was that planning is <br /> very big issue and that this Town will continue to grow,. She <br /> felt that businesses have to be encouraged, as well as people. Mr. <br /> Watt asked her what attracted her to Mashpee She felt that <br /> Mashpee was more open and also open minded. She had previously <br /> lived in Sandwich. When asked about the CIP vacancy, she expressed <br /> that she would also be interested in that if she was not appointed <br /> to the Finance Comm t t e e. <br /> A'poi. en s <br /> The Committee discussed tabling the appointment to the CIP until <br /> there was a full board to discuss. Mr. Gallo, however, did Motion <br /> to appoint Ms. Fancy Jo Goulart to the vacant seat on the Finance <br /> Committee. Mr, Kumin seconded the Motion* Being no other <br /> nominations, members approved the appointment unanimously 4-0. Mr. <br /> Golub felt that the most telling skill for a CIP appointment would <br /> be the ability to channel thinly, to set goals for spending and most <br /> importantly be able to step aside and be objective, Mr. Gallo <br /> Motioned to appoint Jerry Clair as our representative at large for <br /> the Capital Committee, Mr. matt felt that, although Mr, Clair was <br /> very interested,, held be tnore comfortable waiting untij the next <br /> meeting. Mr. Kum= also agreed to table the discussion. Mr. Golub <br /> stated that he would contact Mr. Goggin and Mr. igal 4p about <br /> Ms. Goulart's appointment and also a meeting with Selectmen, in <br /> order that they may appoint her to the Committee. <br /> Articles <br /> It was asked that the article submission date be asked. The <br /> Chairman would .i e to submit the articles. It was requested that <br /> the Chairman provide a final copy of the articles to the Board next <br /> meeting before submission. <br /> Old Business <br /> Discussion of fuel costs would be put off until next Meeting. The <br /> group would also discuss tax delinquencies at a later meeting. It <br />
