Annual Town Meeting <br /> Draft #3 <br /> 8/27/96 <br /> Ms. Goulart abstained from the following votes because she had not <br /> been sworn in. <br /> Article 1 - (bills from the previous year) The Committee was only <br /> concerned with an entry for Cape Cod Pediatrics . Juan Motioned to <br /> approve this article pending explanation of these bills by the Town <br /> Accountant . Alec seconded the Motion and members approved 4-0 . <br /> Article 2 - (funding of a contract between the Town and Mass . <br /> laborer' s Public Employee Council, Local 1249, Unit A and Unit B) <br /> Juan Motioned that the Finance Committee make their recommendation <br /> on Town Meeting floor. Alec seconded the Motion and members voted <br /> to make a recommendation on Town Meeting floor by a vote of 4-0 . <br /> Article 3 - (fund cost of living increases for PAP employees) Mr. <br /> Whritenour indicated that these increases will not go over 11% for <br /> three years, including step increases . Mr. Golub asked if the <br /> Committee wished to consider financial matters if not an emergency <br /> item. Juan Motioned to approve the article as requested. Alec <br /> seconded the Motion and members were in favor 4-0 . <br /> Article 4 - (intermunicipal agreement between the Town and the <br /> Mashpee Water District for a cost-sharing on a joint betterment <br /> project for Clippership Village) Juan Motioned to approve this <br /> article as requested. Alec seconded the Motion and members <br /> approved 4-0 . <br /> Article 5 - (Leisure Service Revolving Account for the Child <br /> Development Programs) Mr. Whritenour indicated that the updated <br /> amount is $22, 431 . 84 . The money comes into the Account through <br /> fees and then is paid out . Juan Motioned to approve this article. <br /> Alec seconded the Motion and members approved 4-0 . <br /> Article 6 - (five year program for a fire truck rehabilitative <br /> project) Juan Motioned to approve this article . Alec seconded the <br /> Motion and members approved 4-0 . Mr. Golub asked when the next CIP <br /> meeting would be? Mr. Whritenour answered that it would be <br /> sometime in September. <br /> Article 7 - ($15, 000 to the Board of Health' s Expense Account for <br /> certain support programs) Juan mentioned that the battered women' s <br /> support group has been left out . Will this article be increased? <br /> Mr. Whritenour responded that this group was formerly under a grant <br /> that was extended in 1994 . The Board of Health did not budget for <br /> this, but will be available through July- Juan Moitioneo to approve <br /> this article, providing the Board of health will supply an account <br /> of these groups . Alec seconded the Motion and members approved 4- <br /> 0 . Juan would speak to the Board of Health on Thursday. <br />
