Page 2 <br /> Article 8 - (Personnel Administrator from grade 12 to grade 16) <br /> Mr. Golub asked if this would mean an increase in her skills also. <br /> Mr. Whritenour explained that when the Union came into effect, <br /> there were certain positions excluded, Ms . Farren' s was one <br /> position. All other excluded positions were addressed except this <br /> one . Mr. Golub suggested waiting until May. Mr. Whritenour stated <br /> that this was specifically put off until October. He suggested <br /> reviewing it with the Personnel Board. Sid asked why the sense of <br /> urgency. Mr. Whritenour explained that her duties were growing. <br /> While on the subject of the Personnel Administrator, Mr. Golub <br /> inquired about the policy for the Board Secretaries. Mr. Golub <br /> recommended changing the policy regarding the timesheets that the <br /> secretaries fill out. Mr. Whritenour explained that there are <br /> numerous boards with secretaries and that the Town does not want <br /> each individual board setting their own requirements . Mr. <br /> Bacigalupi asked that the Committee get back to the Warrant and <br /> table this discussion. <br /> Juan Motioned that the Finance Committee not approve this article . <br /> Alec seconded the Motion. He felt this increase would put Ms . <br /> Farren above other department heads. Mr. Whritenour again <br /> suggested meeting with the personnel Board prior to making a <br /> recommendation. Juan stated that the MMA recommended grade 10 and <br /> .no higher than grade 12 for this position and it should be a spring <br /> article. Mike Kumin stated that he would be in favor of hearing <br /> from the Personnel Board. The Committee voted 3-1, Mr. Kumin <br /> abstaining. <br /> Article 9 - (computer equipment for the personnel Dept . ) Mr. <br /> Whritenour informed the group that he would be recommending pulling <br /> this article. <br /> Article 10 - (interest inside for Great Oak Road, interest outside <br /> for high school construction) Sid commented that he is favor of <br /> reducing the tax rate with whatever funds available. Transfer <br /> funds rather raise and appropriate was Sid' s suggestion. Juan <br /> mentioned that the article deals only with interest and not <br /> principal and it should. Juan Motioned to approve this article if <br /> the money is transferred from available funds and not raised and <br /> appropriated. Alec seconded the Motion and members approved 4-0 . <br /> Article 11 - ($180 to the Treasurer/Tax Collector for the 53rd week„ <br /> of work, .2 was omitted) Sid was happy with her salary staying as <br /> is . MMA agreed that she should be a grade 14. Juan also mentioned <br /> that her. 92 salary figure was $37, 000 and: now is $47, 000 . Juan <br /> Motion&-to not approve article 11. There was no second. Alec <br /> MoCioned to approve article 11 . Mike s4c�onded the Motion and <br /> members voted 2-2 . Juan Motioned to redbitunen& on Town Meeting <br /> floor.
