Pare <br /> handed out copies to Finance Committee members . The letter <br /> expressed that Ms . Govol. was upset with the. Treasurer and her <br /> office in regard to this 6 month repayment . In Ms . ovoni ls <br /> opinion the Office of the Treasurer and M8 . Shaw herself had been <br /> very uncooperat1m ve. Chairman Golub asked why it is so critical <br /> that Southport makes the payments in sic months, rather than nine <br /> months? Ms . Shaw responded that Southport is extremely delinquent . <br /> Mr. Goggin asked if there were any other property owners in Town <br /> that were also as delinquent? Ms . Shaw answered that Christopher <br /> Burden' s parcels come- to approximately $450, 000 owed. Mr. Goggin <br /> asked Ms . Shaw that if property is In tax title, but the property <br /> owner is ►akin payments, it will not proceed to land court Ms . <br /> Shaw answered yes . Mr. Golub stated that he had spoken with Ms . <br /> Shaw prior to this evening and when asked if Mr. Burden was making <br /> payments, she had answered that no he was not . Nis . Shaw denied <br /> saying that she had previously told Mt. Golub that Mr. Burden was <br /> not making payments. She stated that Mr. Burden has been making <br /> occasional payments. Mr. Goggin did not feel that the Finance <br /> Committee should get involved in tax delinquencies . It was Mr. <br /> Goggia'-s opinion that Southport was put on a payment plan, which <br /> their attorney agreed to, and they should stick to it . Ms,. Govoni <br /> indicated that Southport is going to make payments., but it would be <br /> easier to pay in a rine Month installment plan. Southport would <br /> like to clear up all of this for the new buyer. Again, Mr. Watt <br /> .asked if a property owner is making payments they there will be no <br /> -a t i'on taken Ms. Shaw indicated that there is lien on this � <br /> property. Mr. Goggin asked if the Finance Committee could be <br /> supplied with a list of delinquent taxpayers? Ms . Shaw responded <br /> that she has already given this list to Mr. Golub. Mr. Golub <br /> indicated. that Mike Kumin has it . <br /> The Finance Committee spoke with Nis . Shaw regarding the articles <br /> she has ubmitt.ed. Article 11 will add $180 to her salary. <br /> Chairman Golub informed her that the Committee has not made a <br /> recommendation on this . Mr. Goggin stated that if this was a <br /> miscalculation thea it should be corrected. Ms . Shaw mentioned <br /> thatn article 12 she asks for a 2 cost of living increase. She <br /> had asked for a 2 1 increase last May. Mr. Golub menti <br />
