t <br /> Page <br /> Chairman, were present on behalf of the Council on Aging. The <br /> Council on Aging wag requesting $3 ,865, in order that the Town <br /> water/fire sprinkler installation be competed. The original bid <br /> process left misunderstanding as to amount needed for supplies to <br /> run water from the street and did not identify enough dollars for <br /> the electrical work. Mr, Long explained that the CIP had <br /> oo t i.ned $15,000 in their budget, but it was placed back into <br /> the C P because, there was no indication at the time that water <br /> would be available, When the bids came in most recently they <br /> came in at $15,000. There was some discussion amongst the <br /> Committee as to how the 'down could protect itself in the future <br /> in regard to the estimates of bids and their standard level of <br /> authenticity, Mr. Kumin also indicAted that the CIP is looking <br /> for a level f funding for this year. Mr. Golub stated that <br /> letters should be sent out to the CIP and the schools. The <br /> Committee agreed. Mr, Goggia Motioned to approve the request <br /> made by the Council n Aging. Mr. Baciqalupi seconded the Motion <br /> and members approved 7-0. Mr. Watt left the meeting at this <br /> time. <br /> Chairman dolub indicated that he had attended a School C6mmittee <br /> meting Last week and questioned the excess funds used- pursuant <br /> to the late opening of the schools, For example, Pyr. Golub had <br /> inquired about the utilities budget and 'the custodial bud et, <br /> Stone was walling to pay utilities until the 6ntire school was <br /> opened, including the completion of the fields. Mr* Golub -had <br /> stated at that meeting, that until there was absolute need, the <br /> FJ.nance Committee would not be willing t 'give a dlt onal money <br /> Mr.. Golub suggested to Dr. DeMoura that he prepare' a list of <br /> expenses incurred due to the late opening and 'resent them to the <br /> Building Committee. Mr, Golub felt the Town had a right to <br /> withhold liquidated damag Mr. Bacigalupi Motioned that a <br /> letter be written to the Building Committee., School Committee and <br /> the Board of Selectmen* Ms, Gulart seconded the Motion and <br /> members approved 6-0. , The Chairman Would contact the secretary <br /> to dictate the correspondence. <br /> CP <br /> Pyr, Kumin indicated that the CIP had reorganized and Mr. Greg <br /> Taylor was appointed Chairran. Jerry Claire was also present. <br /> The Sel ctmen did not have their appointed citizen member there, <br /> The C P would like a tangible level of spending by January 22nd.. <br /> Mr. Golub felt that possibly the Stabilization Fuad could be <br /> utilized for the Fire Department's renovations. According to Mr.. <br /> Golub, the Town did not receive the $750,000 from the State that <br /> was expected. <br /> Mr. Goggin presented copies of the Mashpee Financial. Plan <br /> Summary. Mr. Bacigalupi stated that he would provide t6 Mr. <br /> Goggin the projections for FY99 and FY2000, Mr. Golub mentioned <br /> that he had attended a meeting sponsored by the League of women <br />
