4 <br /> There was discussion concerning this report being incorporated into the Town's Annual <br /> Report as part of the Finance Committee Report. <br /> School vs. Total General Fund Operating Expenditures: <br /> It was noted that l lashpee ranks towards the middle with 40.6%. <br /> Report„on rPoonlation,Land,Bond Ratite <br /> report containing statistics on items such as population,income per capita, land in <br /> square miles,and May 1996 Bond Rating. <br /> Revenue Components: <br /> Report listing the Tax Levy, Mate Aid,Local Receipts,and All Other. The report also <br /> brews these out in percentage terms. <br /> Tax Rates by-Class: <br /> Report listing the tax rates for the Cape towns. lir. Goggin noted that Mashpee has the <br /> second highest tax rate. <br /> Rank in Four Measures of Property and Income wealth: <br /> Report listing the municipalities along with measure of property and 1989 income <br /> wealth. <br /> SCHOOL BUDGET: <br /> Mr. Coggin noted the fact that the Board of Selectmen are proposing ars amount of$9.7 <br /> million for the School Budget; the Finance Committee has recommended a figure of$9.4 <br /> million;and the School has left their request at$10.9 million. There was discussion <br /> concerning the Finance Committee remaining at the position of$9.4 million. <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM REPORT: <br /> 1r. Golub noted that,before Town Meeting,the Finance Committee need to review the <br /> revised report of the Capital Improvement Program and make a report to the town with <br /> respect to the three-year period after 1998— 1999, 2000,and 2001. He remarked that when <br /> the revised report is received from the C.I.P. Committee,the Finance Committee will make <br /> their report to the Town. <br /> There was discussion among the Finance Committee regarding the C.I.P.Report and how this <br /> report should be handled. Consideration was given to not including the C.I.P. report as part <br /> of the Finance Cottee report. There was discussion into the possibility of tuming the <br /> C.I.P. Report into a handout showing the projects and the amount of dollars. <br /> Mr. Golub stated that,the C.I.P. report represents what the Department Leads of this town <br /> would like to see spent on various projects that are before there--it spews of the needs of the <br /> Department Head. <br />
