Mashpee Finance Committee Minutes Tuesday,June 24, 1991 Present: Sidney Golub, Chairman Jing Cleary,Tony Gallo,Dan Goggin,Nancy Goulart, Alec watt Absent: Mike Kumin Also Doreen Guild, Assistant Town Accountant Present: Robert whritenour,Executive Secretary Dr. Lincoln A.DeMoura,,School Superintendent School Committee Members Kathleen Lynch, Stephen Paxton, and Terry Cool Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Golub at 6:3 5 p.m. at the Iiashpee Town Hall,Meeting Room 1, on Tuesday,June 24, °1997. MINUTES: Tuesday,June 10, 1997,Regular Session: Motion made by Mrs. Goulart to approve the Regular Session Minutes of Tuesday,June 10, 1997. Second by IIx. Cleary. Vote: Unanimous. 5 (Mr. Goggin not present at this time). Notations for the Rccord for Tuesday, Tune 10, 19977 Meetin 1r. Golub referred to the letter from Dr.Lincoln A.DeMoura concernini a meeting on Wednesday,July 9, 1997. Mr. Golub noted that he had commented that tfie meeting was going to be a joint meeting to discuss budgetary issues. He stated that this comment was in error and that the meeting is to discuss brainstorming for obtaining additional funding from the state. RE VESTS FOR TRANSFER FROM THE RESERVE FUND: Doreen Guild, Assistant Town Accountant, submitted four Requests for Transfer From the Reserve Fund from the Town Accountant's ice. She noted that they are for"cleaning up" the end of the fiscal year. Request for Transfer from the Reserve Fund to Medicare Amount Requested: $5,000. Amount requested will be used for Town's share of medicare and social security. Doreen Guild noted that the transfer is required due to the settlement of police/Fire contracts for a two-year period and the teacher's lump sum payments at the end of the year. She noted that this year there were 47 teachers requesting lump sums as opposed to previous years in which 7 or 8 teachers requested the lump sums.
