5 <br /> Mr. Golub stated that he had suggested using the Town Hall building for the water District. <br /> He suggested that the third floor or the basement of the Town Hall could be used. He also <br /> suggested that they could build a garage for their trucks. <br /> There was discussion among the Finance Corrinuittee members concerning the feasibility of <br /> the Finance Committee stating an opinion and/or making a recommendation concerning the <br /> Water District since it is a separate jurisdiction. i <br /> Chairman watt stated that he will prepare a letter to the Executive Secretary,Robert <br /> whritenour, requesting Wm to ask Town Council what the legal authority is of the Finance <br /> Committee towards the water District. <br /> C.I.P.MEETING: <br /> Chairman watt noted that there is a meeting coming up for the C.I.P. Mr.I u in, liaison for <br /> C.I.P., stated that he will call Mr. whritenour to find out the date of the meeting. <br /> i <br /> CITIZEN APPOINTMENT: <br /> Chairman watt noted that the Finance Comrmttee is entitled to a citizen appointment. Where <br /> was discussion concerning the last citizen appointment of the Finance Committee. Chairman <br /> Watt stated that he will post an advertisement. <br /> LONG RANGE PLAN: <br /> Mr. Goggin rioted that he has not had the opportunity to update the Long Range Plan. He <br /> noted that he wanted to discuss the School Budget,which is key to the Dong Range flan. <br /> SCHOOL FOUNDATION BUDGET: <br /> Mr. Cleary noted that he presented the School Foundation Budget with the alternative for <br /> including preschool or without preschool. lir. Cleary noted that the budget for F99,which <br /> includes preschool, has a figure of$54,538 for preschool. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Cleary noted that when the School Department submits their figures, y budget fi the give a <br /> g � <br /> figure for what they cad a School Budget. In addition,they give a figure for Cape Cod Tech <br /> and for Falmouth. To get the total estimated value for the F 99 School Budget,you have to <br /> add approximately$500,000 for Cape Cod Tech and another$500,000 for Falmouth. <br /> Mr. Cleary unformed the Finance Committee how he arrived at the Foundation Bridget <br /> numbers. He stated that you multiply the Foundation enrollment taken from the October 1, <br /> 19971,census by each of the Per Pupil Cost taken from the Mate Foundation Budget. Then, <br /> you adjust the lines of Teaching Salary through the Expanded Program by the wage <br /> Adjustment Factor of 90.4%.
