4 <br /> feels with the way the Federal Goverment works, he feels that we would have to have the <br /> paperwork in at least 30 days or more prior to the award end date. <br /> Mr.Kurmin questioned Chief Przybylek on the$39,000 requested and how munch is the actual <br /> amount that the government wants. Chief Przybylek noted that the original letter from the <br /> Federal Government states that they are providing$97,199 and the mirli num local share is <br /> for$32 400,for a total of$129,599. The total project is now at$136,333--the local share <br /> being$39,134. <br /> Chairman Watt questioned whether the package can be parsed out. The Chief stated that it <br /> cannot be parsed out because it is one grant package. <br /> Chairman Watt questioned when installation would be. Chief Przybylek stated that <br /> installation would probably take between 30 to 60 days. He noted that it could be conceivable <br /> that it could be done prior to the new fiscal year. He commented that the sooner than the <br /> actions take place,the sooner they can begin the impact on the overtime costs in that area. <br /> Chairman Watt commented that this issue should be taken under advisement and work on the <br /> C.I.P. front. Chairman Watt will stay in contact with Chief Przybylek with respect to moving <br /> it forward. Chairman Watt stated that he agrees it is justified. <br /> Mrs. Goulart requested Chief Przybylek to give the Federal Government a call to see if he can <br /> ask for an extension sooner in the event that the money is not available. <br /> Nin. I u in suggested that it be discussed with the C.I.P. next week. He further noted that if <br /> it is accepted by the C.I.P., he wants to bring it back to the Finance Committee for a vote by <br /> the Committee. <br /> BUDGET MEETING WrM POLICE CRLEF PR Y YLE : <br /> hair an Nutt questioned Chief Przybylek if he has any thoughts concerning a date to meet <br /> with the Finance Committee on the Police Department"rtment"s budget. <br /> Chief Przybylek stated that he has not yet talked with the Executive Secretary nor has he met <br /> with the Selectmen. In the past,first he would talk with Mr. Whritenour and then go through <br /> the Selectmen. He would meet with the Finance Committee immediately after this. <br /> Chairman Watt stated that he talked to Mr. Whxitenour today and,hopefully,tomorrow he <br /> will post Department Head meetings for next week. <br /> Chief Przybylek stated that he would likc to host the meeting at the Police Department <br /> subsequent to the review with the Executive Secretary and the Selectmen. <br /> After discussion between Chief Przybylek and the Finance Committee, it was agreed to meet <br /> on Tuesday,February 10, 1998,at 6:00 P.M. at the Police Department. <br />
