He added that it needs to be looked at <br /> whether we are going to put a burden on our resources such as school,police, and fire. <br /> Mr. Golub stated that models should be looked at as to whether this is a good or a bad <br /> investment for the next 3,, 5, and 10 years. Mr.Duchemin agreed that this need to be done. <br /> Upon questioning by Chairman Watt,there was discussion concerning alternatives to <br /> developing a full-time Economic Development program. Mr.Duchemin stated that a public <br /> entity would consist of town participation,banks,businesses,and some state money. He <br /> noted that they are beginning to find out more information concerning these alternatives. <br /> CONSERVATION BUDGET REVIEW: <br /> Mr.Bob Sherman,Conservation Agent,Conservation,reviewed the Conservation budget <br /> request for FY99. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated that everything is the same as last year. He stated that Salary and Wac <br /> are the same except for salary increases. He noted that the Expense Account is the same <br /> except that Mr. Whritenour has come in with a reduction. He stated that part of the reduction <br /> in the Expense Account is for the town taking over the telephone. He said they will now only <br /> be responsible for their cell phones. <br /> Chairman Watt questioned the Conservation Repairs and Maintenance line item which has <br /> been cut by Mr. Whritenour. lir. Sherman stated that included in the Repairs and <br /> Maintenance expense are repairs and maintenance to office a4uipment such as computers, <br /> equipment,etc. He said when the vehicle is needed for repair, it is used for that also. <br /> Mrs. Goulart questioned the Conservation Expense budget and why it was cut. Mr. Sherman <br /> stated that he talked to Mr. Whritenour concerning it. He said that they are required by law <br /> to beep a voluminous amount of files. He said that some of the file cabinets for these files are <br /> in need of replacement.
