This breakdown sheet was attached to the FY 1999 Budget Narrative. <br /> The expenses included in the$15 100 were as follows: <br /> Consultant 52,500 <br /> Chamber Pocket Map 15000 <br /> Guide for Business $25000 <br /> Office Letterhead $304 <br /> Business Cards $100 <br /> Bed&Breakfast Brochure $500 <br /> Print Advertising $23500 <br /> Computer Ad Links K500 <br /> Mashpee Expo SIP500 <br /> Office Supplies Equipment 13000 <br /> Press Kit Mshpce Ind.Park $200 <br /> Welcome Sign Maintenance 15000 <br /> Computer web Site Maintenance 13000 <br /> Mr. Duchemin distributed a handout which details scenarios for building tip the Industrial <br /> Park along Industrial give. The scenarios list the tax revenue that could be generated as a <br /> result of the Industrial Park. He noted that the scenarios are based on warehouse,Office,and <br /> Light Manufacturing. He noted that this is the kind of money that could be generated if they <br /> marketed the Industrial Park. <br /> Mr.Duchemin noted that they are presently looking at a potential tenant which would include <br /> the use of 25,000 for office and with the potential of another 20,000 for the warehouse. Cape <br /> Cod Health Care is the tenant presently looming at this site. <br /> Mr.Duchmin noted that the Economic Development office is trying to create some industrial <br /> based business so that the residential Homeowners are not shouldering the entire tax burden. <br /> In addition, the Economic Development office is trying to control what typo of business is <br /> coming into Mashpee. <br /> Mrs. Goulart questioned Mr.Duchemin what the Economic Development has accomplished <br /> o far. Mr.Duchermi n stated that they have been established for three years. During that <br /> three years,they have set up the program,created their database to collect the information on <br /> the available land in the Town,developed the employee pool database,and initiated and <br /> developed the strategic plan for Economic Development. <br /> Mr. Duchemin discussed the Tax Incentive Program which the Economic Development office <br /> Has established.. He stated that the project would need to be certified in order to receive a tax <br /> incentive. He noted that the Economic Development office would certify the project for the <br /> town and then the State would recd to certify the project also. He noted that the project <br /> cannot be certified unless it can be proved that the project will create jobs. <br /> Mr. Golub questioned Mr. Duchemin if he has done any models to show what the balance <br /> would be between the income/benefit generated from receiving the tax revenue from the <br /> commercial vendor as opposed to the people moving into the area who would have children <br /> moving into the Mashpee Schools. He noted that the cost could be outweighed by the cost of <br /> the additional children in the schools. lir.Duchemin stated that there has not been any <br /> research clone to this date regarding this issue.
