The total FY2000..Budget Request is in <br /> the amount of$240,610. <br /> Chief Baker commented that he is in a four-year project of which they are in Year 3 whereby <br /> they are trying to buy two semi-automatic defibrillators each year in order to have one in each <br /> vehicle. They are about$3,000-a piece. <br /> Mr. watt and Chairwoman Goulart commented on the Professional&Technical Scrvices <br /> under the Expense Budget. They questione4 on the amount of$20,350 and why it was so <br /> high and event up so much. Chief Baker noted that this was an error. The actual amount <br /> should stay the same.at S 1'�500. <br /> Chairwoman Goulart.questioned_Chief.Baker on.the costs.associated with the two additional <br /> Fire Fighters. Chid Baker stated that Fire Overtime wage goes from$51,475 to$7,075 with <br /> five people. Chief 1 r'note h there wilt also be-a dxrease in Tralming Wages b e = <br /> he doesn't have to pay overtime when he doesn't drop below his nu mum in staffing. Chief <br /> Baker commented that-the salary for the new fire fighter would b 1,679.25 ano the <br /> benefits would be approximately$5,400 each. Chief Baker commented that there a're two <br /> overtime accounts—Fire Overtime(sick coverage)and Fire recall(whin a call happe ns . He <br /> noted that the budget.amount for fire Recall goes from$127,680 to$74,484. <br /> Chief Baer said that he will send a copy to the Finance Committee of the Town Meeting <br /> Article for the two fire fighter's benefits in addition to a salary breakdown for a five-person <br /> staff- <br /> FWANCE COMMITTEE SCHOOL UDG DISCUSSION. <br /> Chairwoman Goulart sued that she received a report from the School which gives the acua.l <br /> enrollments in the school as of today as opposed to the enrollment figures of 10/1/98. <br /> W. Golub questioned what numbers she had four Grades 9 through 12. Chairwoman Goulart <br /> noted the following numbers for enrollment: <br /> Grade 9 123 <br /> Grade 10 112 <br /> Grade 11 88 <br /> Grade 12 68. <br /> Chairwoman Goulart.noted that the School is projecting the enrothnent number for FY2000 <br /> as 2,290. <br />
