Taylor Meeting Called to order by Chairman O'Hara at 6: 0 p.m. Mashpee Town Hall, waquoit Meeting Room MINUTES Monday, December 18, 2017 Regular Session:, Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the minutes of Monday,December 18, 2017 as presented.. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton, VO'T'E: Unanimous. -o. Doll Call Vote. Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cabalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes opposed, none APPOINTMENTS HEADING Public Comment: None at this time. NEW BUSINESS Proclamation: Town Planner F. Thomas Fudala— ebrement. The Board of Selectmen read aloud a Proclamation in recognition of the retirement of F. Thomas Fudala. Mr. Fudala was in attendance and was honored by the Board of Selectmen for serving as Town Planner for the past thirty-three years in the Town of Mashpee. Attributes publicly recognized include the successful application and receipt of the largest Self-Help grant in the State of Massachusetts which assisted in the funding of the Mashpee River woodlands. During his tenure Mr. Fudala was noted to have spearheaded the establishment of the Mashpee Sewer Commission and has maintained membership since 1988. Mr. Fudala was also the pri0ncipal author of the Mashpee Zoning Bylaws and worked tirelessly to facilitate the creation of the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge to protect and preserve open space. Mr. Fudala was cited for his impact to the Mashpee community and for his Protection of the Town's natural resources while maintaining a balance with economic development. Previously, the Town held a ceremony in his honor and presented Mr. Fudala with a plaque for his outstanding service.
