Thomas Fudala as Town Planner recommended the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager move <br /> forward to secure $450,000 in escrow funding held by the Cape Cod Commission to proceed in the <br /> next step of the approved watershed Nitrogen Management Ilan. This involves the preliminary <br /> design of the proposed Town wastewater treatment plant adjacent to the Transfer Station. <br /> The Cape Cod Commission (CCC) through its Developments of Regional Impact (IRI) requires <br /> applicants to mitigate some of their project impacts through cash payments. In his letter of July 3 1, <br /> 2017, Paul liedwieci, Executive Director of the CCC indicated that $910,470 is currently available <br /> for various purposes, although some funding has been committed to an existing project. Funds are <br /> encumbered for an affordable housing feasibility study in the amount of$28,350. <br /> Mr. Fudala indicated there is an agreement between the Town by its Sewer Commission and GHD for <br /> Services associated to the Site 4 wastewater Treatment Facility Design Development project. The <br /> cost 1s $450,000 for engineering services relative to the preliminary design 25-35% of the Asher's <br /> Fath treatment facility. work- includes design memoranda, cost estimates and preliminary renderings. <br /> It was noted this type of work is exempt from the public bide process and there is no cost to the <br /> taxpayer for this phase of work. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to authorize the request for mitigation funding from the <br /> Cape Cod Commission in the amount of$450,000 for the preliminary design of the fisher's Rath <br /> treatment facility and authorize the Town Manager to take the necessary steps to procure this <br /> funding. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VO'C'E: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Roll Call Vote. <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes opposed, none <br />
