7 Board of Selectmen Minutes February 12, 201 Certification and Confirmation of Town Planner: A screening committee consisting of the Assistant Town Manager,the Hunan Resource Director,two members of the Board of Selectmen and two Planning Board members interviewed candidates for the position of Town Planner. It was disclosed the candidate strongly recommended by the screening committee withdrew his application. The screening committee reconvened minus the two Board of Selectmen members, and unanimously recommended the appointment of Evan Lehrer to fill the position created as a.result of the retirement of F. Thomas Fudala. Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to certify and confirm the appointment of Evan R. Lehrer to the position of Town Planner as recommended. Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. VOTE: Unanimous* -o. Doll Call vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalanc,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes opposed, none Review and Approval of the Use of the Town's Sediment Disposal Footprint for the Trucked In Sand on the Popponesset it: Waterways Commission, Chairman Kenneth Bates-, Iden dates, Chair of the waterways Commission was before the Board to request administrative approval under their Chapter 91 Permit#14006 to allow trucked in sand to be deposited by Save Popponesset Bay and the woods Hole Group in the Town's sediment disposal footprint as delineated under the Town's Comprehensive Permit NAE 2013 1241. It was disclosed the Save Popponesset Bay and the woods Hole Group have expired permits and are awaiting approval from.Natural Heritage. when approval is received, a permit would be issued by the Town and administered by the Conservation Commission. This would not become a permanent part of the Town's Comprehensive Permit. As per this agreement, there would be no expense to the Town. The action would provide protection to the Town should a catastrophic event occur.. All Town rules and regulations for sediment disposal on the Spit footprint would be adhered to under the Town's permit., Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to authori c Save the Bay and the woods Hole Group to utilize the Town's disposal area under the Chapter 91 Permit#14006, subject to the legal review and indemnification to the Town for any liability. The temporary use of the sediment footprint shall expire December 31,2018. Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman.
