He stated that if you loop at a thirty-year life on that,you are looking at one <br /> million dollars a year. He said Mashpoe'is underfunded. <br /> There was discussion between Nor. Taylor and the Finance Committee members concerning <br /> M shp a receiving transportation finds from the Commonwealth,aid from the State,and <br /> sours of funds for the `Big Dig." <br /> Mr. Taylor commented that he gave the Seinen a list of 25 projects that should be thought <br /> about to be ewnpieted in the next number of years. He noted that about one-half of the <br /> projects were not eligible for the money they do get from Chapter 90. <br /> Mr. Taylor commented that there have been 76 streets turned over as the town's responsibility <br /> in the last ten years. <br /> omuslon: <br /> Mr.Taylor concluded by stating that he hoped the Finance Committee would support the <br /> three positions for the D.P.W. He stated that he really needs help in the office. He <br /> commented that many of the Town's Departments have d putys or assistants. He is the only <br /> one to do the prjc'ts right now. He stated that he really needs an Assistant to help him with <br /> the projects and do follow-up work. <br /> Mr.Taylor added that he very much needed the four laborers he requested initially-,however, <br /> he will take the additional two people. <br /> Mr. Taylor added that he is need of a Town Engin=desperately. He stated that they have a <br /> lot of projcds that need a whole lot of enginowing work. The only war that they can pay for <br /> them is to spend their road money to get engineering work done or a special article at Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> He said he did not include the Engineer i <br />
