Finance Committee/April 25,2000 <br /> that they now have the small trucks with four-wheel drive and automatic transmission and the <br /> prices are pretty good. Mr. Arnold said that he has them-catalogue and he will lend it to <br /> Mr.York to look at. <br /> Mr.York stated that he just received a list of government surplus items and he hasn't had <br /> time to look at it}ret, <br /> Mr.York commented that he has been coming in the last few years with a level-funded <br /> budget. His expense budget i $3,000. He stated that he didn't foresee that the truck would <br /> need brakes and an exhaust system. He said he was trying to keep the truck going as long a <br /> he could. He stated that he budgets the minimum for repairs on the truck—such as oil <br /> changes. <br /> Nig-. York again stated that last year he had to pay$750 to replace the brakes. what that did <br /> was drain his budget down to a couple of hundred dollars. He said he is not sure he has <br /> enough money to last until the end of June. <br /> Mr.York commented that,if they decide to fix the truck,he would be hack with the Request <br /> for Transfer. He added that,at this point,he may be back in.lune for money to pay for <br /> gasoline because his account is very low right now,as noted previously. <br /> Mr. York stated that he will take a look at the bid list,take a look through the surplus,and <br /> then he wil1 come back before the Finance Committee if he needs the request for Transfer. <br /> 1E UST FOR TRANSFER-FINANCE COMMITTEE: <br /> EE: <br /> The Finance Committee submitted a Request for Transfer from the Reserve Fund. <br /> Amount requested: $400.00 <br /> To Be Transferred To: Finance Committee Expense <br /> Mr. Arden stated that the Finance Committee Expense Account does not have enough money <br /> to pay for the cost of the distribution of the warrant. <br /> s per Mr. olub's suggestion of getting the transfer ratified by the Selectmen,Mr.Arden <br /> stated that he attended the meeting of the Selectmen the previous evening and there was <br /> motion,a second,and approval to transfer$400 to the Finance Committee Account from the <br /> Reserve rve Fund for the sortmng dell ery postal requirement for the Finance Committee warrant. <br /> Motion to Avvrove Request for Transfer: <br /> Mrs.Goulart made amotion that the Request for Transfer <br /> from the Reserve Fund to the Finance Committee Expense � <br /> Account in the amount.of$400 be approved, as approved <br /> by the Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Chairman Arden. <br /> Vote:Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
