Contract Negotiations: <br /> The Chairman informed members that there are negotiation meetings on August 15th and <br /> 29th for the Clerical and DPW departments. It is very important to be there if assigned to <br /> that department. <br /> 2. Warrant Review: <br /> The Committee members reviewed the Warrant as follows- <br /> Article <br /> ollo :Article for the Accrued Benefits Account will be re-occurring. Dean Arden will <br /> speak at Ton Meeting on it. <br /> Article for the Fire Department requesting to create the position of Fire Prevention <br /> Inspector. it would be less expensive to pay overtime to the Deputy Chief to do this <br /> inspection than to create a new position. <br /> Article to create a full-time Senior Clerk position for the Leisure Services Department <br /> should be in May Town Meeting and-not in October. <br /> Article to create position for GIS Tech Support has to he advertised to get someone <br /> $41-51,000 salary range. <br /> Article for a sum of money to the Landfill Closure Capital Account. Fred Blythe <br /> informed the members that there still is an outstanding bill. <br /> Article for$200,000 for the purpose of financing for water pollution abatement <br /> facility projects. Kathy Lynch informed members that it is for people who need <br /> money to.upgrade their septic system. The members will ask the Selectmen at the <br /> meeting on Monday. <br /> Article for a radia system for the Animal Control Department. The Committee felt it <br /> is a lot of money and will recommend getting a ceh phone. <br /> Article for replacement of the John's Pond water control structure and fish ladder. <br /> Need dollar amount. The Committee discussed what happened to the $601-000 <br /> previously awarded. It must still be in the account, as they never fixed the fish <br /> ladder. <br />
