There was
discussion and debate on whether the Fire Department/Police Department had fully
prepared to present this ratter before the Finance Conumttee. Joyce Mason strongly
disagreed with the position of Dan Bohnenberger, who suggested that the Fire and Police
Departments were denied the opportunity to address this policy. Chris Avis felt it
was best to do much more research, and have an opportunity to speak to the other Towns
that have a policy in place. Chris Avis and Bob Hutchinson inquired as to whether there
is someone currently in a situation where this new policy would cone into effect.
