Hutchinson asked if the approval of these articles would present any complications for <br /> Southport residents, such as sewage treatment requirements,, or any other financial impact. <br /> Mr. Fudala replied that sewage treatment issues are subject to Department of <br /> Environmental Protection (DEP) rules and land use requirements. He noted sewage <br /> treatment plants should hot be located in the protected areas. <br /> ■ Mr. Gasior asked about the article's impact on other residential areas. Mr. Fudala presented <br /> the regulations as they pertain to surrounding residential lots. Mr. Gasior also asked if <br /> these changes are subject to subdivision approval. Mr. Fudala indicated they do not affect <br /> whether land can be subdivided. <br /> ■ Mr. Fudala noted the article would create guidelines primarily on the storage of hazardous <br /> materials, with exceptions for industrial development <br /> ■ Mr. Avis observed that any commercial landowner that may oppose this article could <br /> contest it at Town fleeting. Mr. Fudala stated he did not expect any opposition. <br /> Article 2 <br /> ■ Mr. Fudala reviewed Article 20 as it pertains to the storage of construction material on <br /> residential lots. lir. Mr. Fudala <br /> indicated the owner had their engineer present a preliminary plan for the project. Mr. <br /> Fudala stated that abutters will receive public notice in newspapers. FIs. Mason suggested <br /> providing individual notice to abutters as well. Mr. Fudala agreed. <br /> ■ Committee discussed details of plan layout.
