MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER I4,2005 <br /> Present: Gerald Umina, Chairman <br /> Chris Avis, Alison frassi, Chuck Gasior, Bob Hutchinson <br /> CALIF To ORDER <br /> Chairman Umina called a meeting of the Finance Committee to order at :1 o p.m, at Mashpee Town <br /> Hall. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Budget Plnnin for FY2 ' <br /> Chairman Umina.asked Committee members who attended the department budget meetings <br /> if they had any items for discussion]. <br /> Mr. Gasior indicated he attended the MIS, Planning, Selectmen, CoA, Personnel and <br /> Assessing department meetings. <br /> q Mr. Hutchinson attended the Police, DPW, Harbormaster, Human Services, Historical <br /> Commission and Conservation Commission budget meetings. He stated he was unable to <br /> attend further meetings. He noted there were no department budgets that appeared <br /> unreasonable. <br /> Harbormaster <br /> ■ 11th. Hutchinson noted the State put a hold on herring run funding and the Harbormaster <br /> budget has a$5,000 herring run item in place. Town Manager Joyce Mason questioned this <br /> issue at the meeting, and discussion had taken place regarding staffing at the herring nm. <br /> Mr. Avis asked whether the State planned to close the herring run for fish-taking. Mr. <br /> Hutchinson indicated the need to further review the issue. <br /> z Mr. Avis asked whether the Harbormaster's request for new engines was discussed at <br /> meeting.
