4* Mashpee Finance Committee Minutes April 2,2007 Mashpee Town HaU Meefing called to order: Chris Avis called Meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Present: Chris Avis, Chairman; Chuck Gasior, vice-Chainnan. Sandra Lindsey, Ken Patrick, Bob Hutchinson, Lynda Carroll, Bill Johnson. Absent: bone. Others: Joyce Mason, Town Tanager; Rene' bead, Assistant Ton Manager; Debi Dann, Town Clerk,Terme Cook, Selectman. 1. Approval of Mijautes: Chris Avis moved to approve Minutes of March 13, 2007 hearing. Chuck Gasior eon coned with the Committee that he was not present at the March 13, 2007 meeting. Sandra Lindsey approved. Ken Patrick-seconded. All in favor. No discussion. U10 Correspondence: • Municipal Appropriation Table Explanation of Consents&Nates Cale. of Projected Tax RateNotes for the Projected 07 Tax Rae with the Committee in, Requests for„Transfer: KeAuest for Transfer in the arnount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00)and 001100 submitted by Town Clerk, for unanticipated costs for the May elections. Debi Darns stated there is Four Hundred Thirty Six Dollars($436.00)and 00/100 in her expense-account to take her through the rest of the fiscal year. There have been three 3 elections this year, one was a primary. Printing and ager expenses have risen. Bob Hutchinson moved to approve the transfer of 12,500-00 as requested. All were in favor. Request for Transfer in the amount of Five Thousand Sixty Dollars($5,060.00)and 00/1 0 submitted by the Planning Board, for payment of planmm�g board consulting engineering hills(unforeseen by the planning board). Toni Fud.ala had Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) and 001100 deducted out of the department's engineering. Chuck Gasior and Chris Avis discussed the purpose of the funds. Bob Hutchinson and Sandra Lindsey each discussed some of their own concerns. Sandra Lindsey suggested that they vote on the proposal, and thea she will follow up with Torn Fudala. Sandi Lindsey moved t approve the transfer, f$5,�. 0 as re nested. AD were in favor. Chris Avis asked Chuck Gasior to discuss and review the Municipal Appropriation Table, the Explanation of Comments&Dotes, Cale. of Projected Tax Rate and Notes for the Projected Tax date with the Committee. shuck also had a -i -up and recommendations for all the articles on the Town Meeting Warrant, except Article 2--the municipal budget. 1 .
