Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Nfinutes <br /> August 5, 1997 <br /> Present: Jing Vaccaro, George Baker, Joyce Mason,Dr. Elizabeth Petri, <br /> Peter Thomas, Benjamin Perry, Jr., George weznia,k <br /> Guests: Sheldon Hamblin -Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Bill Hauck-Inspector of Buildings <br /> Tadbg Sweeney-I onham and Sweeney, Inc. <br /> Meeting Calhad tQ by Chairman Vaccaro at 1:05 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Meeting Room 1. <br /> M[NJTS: <br /> Tuesday. 1& ' # <br /> Motion made by Mr. Baker to approve the minutes of <br /> Tuesday,,duly 29, 199 ' as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mrs. Mason. <br /> Unanimous. 7-0, <br /> LU & RESCUE-STATION R.BN PATIO S=Y; <br /> Tagg Sweeney, Principal of the architectural firm o <br /> lonham & Sweeney, Inc. of Boston was present to discuss the <br /> completed preliminary renovation study for the Mashpee Fire & Rescue <br /> Station. <br /> Mr. Sweeney discussed the process relative to the renovation <br /> study and concluded that the location of the preset station is optimal <br /> for the Town for a central station, and that a sub-station will be <br /> required in South Mashpe within the neat five years. <br /> Existing site conditions pertaining to building code and accessibility <br /> violations were reviewed in addition to health violations, and <br /> space configuration needs. r <br /> Mr. Sweeney presented a statistical comparison chart of fire stations <br /> recently constructed or proposed on Cape Cod that he intends to <br /> distribute to each Corn itt9'' ember for Teference purposes. <br />
