Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 21, 199 8 <br /> A R_ClUIEUIRAL RLT�E ��M: <br /> Mr. Robert H. Therrien,President of Gaffney Associates, Inc. of Dennis,, <br /> Massachusetts was present to re-visit the renovation/addition project proposal <br /> of the Mashpee Fire&Rescue station project with members of the Fire Station <br /> Building Committee. <br /> It was noted that Gaffney was a semi-finalist in the initial architectural selection <br /> process. Mr. Thenen presented the similar design concept to the committee <br /> for consideration based upon initial space needs. <br /> In addition,Mr. Therrien proposed a cost analysis of$1,744,060 for the intended <br /> project scope. Not included in the estimate are Fees associated with furniture, <br /> fixture and equipment, septic issues,, landscape and dispatcher control equipment. <br /> The above estimated proposal reflects 17,458 s . ft. in new construction. <br /> Mr. Therrien indicated that his firm is cost effective. His philosophy is to deliver <br /> projects that satisfy clients needs. He recently completed a$2.3million dollar <br /> renovation project in Carver. All figures were within %of project completion. <br /> The firm of Gaffney employees three principal architects. Mr. Therrien indicated <br /> that he will assume all project responsibilities. Consultants are selected based <br /> upon known experience and performance. Many of the cost consultants <br /> employed by Gaffney are practitioner owned explained W.
