Lieb, President of the office of Allen M. Hieb Architects of <br /> Lynnfield, Massachusetts was present with his designpl annex Ann ' earn <br /> to discuss professional services and qualifications for the addition/renovation <br /> to the Mashpee Fire&Rescue station. <br /> Mr. Lieb-indicated that his design firm employs the services of Joseph O'Keefe <br /> offering fire department technical/operations consulting. It was noted that Mr. <br /> O'Keefe is also the former State Fire Marshall. In addition,the HVA.Q, electrical <br /> and plumbing support is obtained from C.A. Crowley Engineering and the <br /> structural engineering consultant is Foley&Buhl Engineering. <br /> Representative projects include stations located in West Tisbury,North Andover, <br /> Rochester, Lincoln and Upton. Mr. Lieb indicated that his firm specializes in <br /> public sector work. Design to accreditation standards include the International <br /> Association ofFire Chiefs and National Fire Protection Association. <br /> Three principals in the office of Allen Lieb will be actively involved in the design <br /> process for the Mhee Fire&Rescue station inforrne Mr. Lieb who noted that <br /> he has an exceptional track record to conform to budgetary constraints. <br /> Mr. Lieb indicated that a budget of$2 million is tight for the town. Preliminary <br /> cost estimates reflect an apparatus bay for 1 2sq. ft. and adjacent office <br /> facilities estimated to cost $135/sq. ft. Additional costs include; % contingency, <br /> engineering fees, printing, and More, fixtures and equipment. The budget <br /> reflects a projected cost estimate of$2A million informed Mr. Lieb. <br /> Pre]iminary construction costs are estimated to range from $1.9 to $1.6 million. <br /> Mr. Lieb noted that the size of the building can be reduced by eliminating <br /> corridors. He,will further develop functional cost scenarios per square foot <br /> for the committee's consideration if elected for the architectural design program. <br /> Dr. Petti left the meeting. <br />
